Reports to the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs Is an ambassador for the restaurant, and interacts with warmth and hospitality at all times Must be aware of and take ownership of one’s own schedule. Will arrive promptly, ready to work according to the schedule Must possess willingness and excitement to learn about the industry, food and beverage outside of regularly scheduled work hours. Must embrace a culture of continuous education in all aspects of the business Must conduct one’s self in a professional manner at all times Must possess a thorough understanding of all food & beverages, and be able to describe any menu item, as well as answer any guest questions Must be able to lift 40 pounds Communicate and relay any messages from the guests to the appropriate server Responsible for ensuring the appropriate food is delivered to the correct guest (table number, seat number) and that the table is appropriately cleared and marked Must be well versed in the company culture and history Assist our team members other employees in any task necessary to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkers Must be able to work on one’s feet continuously for at least 8 hours Execute any additional employee duties requested by management to ensure a great environment for our guests and teammates Makes station ready, to include prepping of all mise en place Makes station ready for line check after cleaning Must possess expert understanding of all recipes and preparation methods, to include an expert understanding of all kitchen equipment Must take ownership of one’s station, understanding when to ask for help, when necessary Must work clean and with purpose at all times, in an organized fashion Maintain proper hygiene for cooking in an open kitchen totally visible to guests
